WHO EVEN ARE YOU?
<<<< Ahts me there. Bad Gal Boocha was born in July 2019 by me, Heather. As a stressed out and skint soon to be nursing student I realised I had to find a creative way to fund my degree. As an already avid maker of kombucha I realised there was a gap in the market for some proper good, local kombucha and went for it.
Bad Gal Boocha started out in my spare room at home but has grown pretty quickly over the past year and we now operate from the boochery in Cupar muir (kombucha brewery FYI). Everything we do is inspired by nature and keeping our footprint as low as we can. We’re pretty aggressive about it. From bottle returns to ditching the classic sticky label we are trying to make the most eco friendly kombucha on the market.
Our packaging is 95% plastic free, the only plastic being the cap liner (which needs to be there otherwise the aluminium cap will leach into the kombucha which aint gehd). I feel as though companies can greenwash with their packaging, which is why our whole process is as plastic free and ethical as it can be.
We buy our tea in bulk direct from the farmer and through Unravel Tea, our flavourings are made in house from fresh ingredients that are either bought loose or sourced through other small and local businesses like Leaf Natural Food Wraps and East Neuk Orchards – no cheap artificial flavourings or oils here!
We also donate our “rubbish” to local childcare providers who turn it into works of art or playhouses (if you ever need a massive box or pallet dividers for crafts please hit me up!). We aren’t perfect however and are continually striving to do better. So any comments, queries or advice is greatly appreciated. I should also introduce the lil man on my lap.
This is Hyasper, he’s the worlds worst admin guy. He wants me to tell you that he enjoys ball, snacks, bin, BINS, woods, scratches on the head, scratches on the back, OH GOOD LORB BACK SCRATCHES, scratches on the tum, the beach, bed, unloading his admin tasks onto mum cause he has no thumbs, making a damn mess and he does not enjoy getting his ears cleaned, anything that messes with his morning routine (such as getting his ears cleaned) and sleeping in his custom handmade cordouy bed *tell them sleeping in my own bed is the WORST.

No Waste Booch Club
The monthly booch no waste club give you access to the booch thats been left behind. Booch with minor packaging defects* and any surplus stock that cannot be sold as a part of any other deal. Flavours are random but will always be a mix each month. May included experimental batches. Slots for the club are limited at this time. You can have as many subscriptions as you like if 6 bottles a month isn’t enough. All orders paid by the 25th of the month will be sent out on or around the 1st of the following month. * In line with our return to open air markets where stock always gets rained on and paper labels get ruined, the same idea as “wonky bottles” but with bigger savings!
