A BIT ABOUT MARK | Mark Leibowitz is a director and photographer whose work has been commissioned by advertisers, brands, film & television studios, publishers and other media outlets worldwide.

As a student, he pursued a degree in Economics and Spanish from Stanford University, but spent more time taking pictures than pondering the corporate ladder. After working as an international consultant in Sao Paulo, Mark quit his job and returned to Los Angeles to submerse himself in photography and directing.

In just a few short years, Mark began shooting editorial work for top publications including Glamour, Conde Nast Traveler, New York Magazine, Town & Country, Wired, The Hollywood Reporter and Vogue Australia. He later expanded into the world of advertising, producing imagery for iconic brands like Google, Instagram, Bank of America, Tom Ford, Proctor & Gamble and Verizon, among others.

Mark now fluidly works between the roles of photographer, cinematographer and director to create multiplatform content for a wide-range of clients. His commissions range from high-end visuals for fashion designers/ brands, powerful sports imagery, to social media campaigns of cultural movers and shakers. His work has been published in two limited-edition books shot for luxury brand Well Souled; the second of which, Well Souled Brasil, launched in early 2016 and was officially supported by Brazil’s national tourism board and Consul-General.

Mark’s “California style” and relaxed charm help him capture unexpected moments, while his deep interest in real people and real issues infuses the way he operates, both with and without a camera in-hand. Mark’s company is a certified B Corporation, with the team working hard to minimize its impact on the planet while creating positive change in the world. Additionally, he actively works for charitable organizations including Communities in Schools – a drop-out prevention organization that works with more than 1.2 million students across the United States – the Sundance Institute, KCRW and the California Coastal Commission. Mark believes in a smart way of doing business where people, community and natural resources are valued.

NON-PROFIT | We actively support charitable organizations. If you are a non-profit or a socially focused company in need of new imagery, please contact us because we want to help you make a difference.
