Meet Tessa- Owner and Founder of Pop Kulture and self-confessed sauerkraut enthusiast. She uses traditional methods of fermentation to transform local ingredients into nourishing (and scrumptious) plant-based food. The driving idea behind her business originated in a quaint Guatemalan town, where Tessa was living and working for a small fermentation business ‘Love Probiotics’. It was during the hands-on production process, whilst learning how to harness the delicious flavours of local produce, that Tess found her calling. Upon returning home to Perth, she was inspired to share her love of the art of fermenting. Ideas blossomed into reality and so, Pop Kulture Ferments was born.

It is Pop Kulture’s mission to make sauerkraut cool. With the wide range of unique seasonal small batches, there is a tasty ferment for everyone! Run, don’t walk, to grab yourself a jar at a local Perth farmers market.

You can also find Tessa in her sassy little food truck ‘Frida’ every other Saturday at Kyilla Farmers Market, serving up a mean plant-based breakfast.
