Opening in 2018, The Spread Eagle became London’s first vegan pub with all our food, drinks, fixtures and fittings being plant-based and sourced sustainably where possible.

The Spread Eagle runs a seasonal, minimal waste kitchen, working directly with foragers and local producers to bring you the best that British food has to offer. Our new menu for Summer 2020 takes on pub classics and quintessential British desserts with influences from all over the world, reflecting the diversity of our local culture.
We work with local suppliers to source the finest quality ingredients and our menu is seasonal and sustainable as we care deeply about our planet. Head down to sample our signature dishes such as the East End classic pie mash n liquor, the ploughman’s board and two signature ‘TSE Burgers’. All fully vegan and incredibly tasty.
The Spread Eagle has rotating draught lines that are specially brewed without the addition of finings, making them not only natural, but deliciously tasty and 100% vegan. We also serve hand selected small batch wines that you would rarely find on a regular pub menu.
Our 14 draught lines have a wide range of cult brands such as Beavertown Gamma Ray and Five Points XPA. Plus our carefully curated cocktail list gives innovative vegan twists on the much loved classics,such as our infamous tequila sour using aquafaba as featured in the Guardian and Evening Standard.
